Nasogastric Tube Insertion

This course is designed to familiarize the participant with the indications for nasogastric (NG) tube insertion, the human anatomy encountered when inserting a NG tube, and to help the participant develop the skills necessary to correctly place a NG tube.

This course is divided into two parts: 1) "Self Study Module" that includes a practice cognitive quiz & 2) "Skills Lab" where the participant will take a short cognitive quiz (to document mastery of the self study materials), an opportunity to individually practice & master placement of a nasogastric tube with formative feedback ending with documentation of competency on a skill trainer.
